Mia is hand-built with clay and one-of-a-kind. My drawings are incised into the clay’s surface. After finishing the sculpting the pieces are bisque fired in the kiln. The bique fired sculpture is hand painted with underglazes and oxides and finally fired in the kiln a second time. Finally the sculptures are finished with aluminum or steel armatures and concrete bases.
